Sony NEX 5N Sample Video (24p + Cinema Filter)
Sony NEX 5N Sample Video (24p + Cinema Filter)
This is a 60p to 24p conversion done in Final Cut Pro X, added "Projection" effect to show the difference between 60p and 24p as far as feel and emotion go. (See my other video) Shot with Sony NEX 5N using a combination of the stock 18-55mm Lens and 16mm Wide Angle Lens. Shot in 60p, edited in Final Cut Pro X. Converted to Quicktime, compressed. I was researching which cameras to buy, and found only one or two good samples from this camera. Thought I could help out others looking to see the quality of the NEX series. I love this camera as an amateur, and of course there are better cameras out there, but if you need high quality, lower price point, extra portability, and ease of use, this camera is the way to go. I will upload more samples with sound using the Microphone accessory soon. :) I claim no rights to the music or soundtrack to this video.

Max Payne 2 - Cinema 1.6 Mod, Video [Preview]
Max Payne 2 - Cinema 1.6 Mod, Video [Preview]
Attention! I know that Cinema 1.6 Mod is the only Mod in the video so I have decided to add in Elements of Style (if I get the chance). And Hall Of Mirrors which I will do. Music - Name Of the game 2nd Music - Stardown - Cant Disroot (also you are most likely not to find this song in Limewire or youtube, because... It's just that people dont know it much and it was started in around 2005 and no one really knows it so go on their myspace account and play the song then record it.) Questions here: Why didn't you use Cinema 2.0, didn't you have it? or like it? Well I do love it and yes I do have it, but the only thing I find that 1.6 has better then 2.0 is the music in bullet time mode. When I am recording I leave it in Bullet time mode so I can relax while I play with some good music. What Direct X did yo use in this video? I used Direct X 9 but with everything on high settings, It does make it kinda like Direct X 10 but I dont think Max Payne 2 can run on DX10. Even though the graphics are like a slice a of heaven Wtf is this retard video? A beautiful Jewish holiday for Jews to watch this video, AND YOUR NOT WELCOME! jk :) Were can I get these Mods? Well the website is www.moddb.com Also if you are a new person and when you have downloaded the files and don't know were to put them, feel free to ask anytime. How much does this game cost? and the mods? Well the mods are free but you need Max Payne 2 to run them before playing. Max Payne 2 is a pretty old game so I am guessing ...

DIY RealD 3D home cinema playing video!
DIY RealD 3D home cinema playing video!
Here's a small clip showing a movie actually playing on my home cinema. I use two projectors each equipped with the filter from one of the eyes of a pair of RealD 3D glasses. (Bought at the cinema.) You mount the filters as if the projector is wearing the glasses. You also need a program that can read a blue-ray or dvd with a stereo movie on it. You can't just use a regular movie. 3D can't be created from a single 2D movie so don't bother asking... Update: I am getting a lot of video-replys from people trying to duplicate this in different ways. I need to clarify a few points... 1. I use two projectors 2. The projectors are showing a DIFFERENT version of the film designed for tha eye their filter matches. 3. The source of the video is a blu-ray with a frame-progressive 3D version of the movie. This means that it contains both versions interleaved so that it would play on a single projector or TV and you'd need shutter-glasses to view it. 4. This was ment as a demonstration of home-use. It shows that indeed the image seen in left and right filter is different. 5. The 3D move was split into two streams. One for each eye. 6. The application used to play back the two streams is called Stereoscopic Player and the demo allows you to try it out for 5 minutes each time you start it. 7. You NEED a silver screen. A gray or white one will not work well as the light is absorbed and retransmitted. This ruins the polarization so the images blend. I painted my screen on a MDF-board ...

Canon C300 cinema camera hands-on (video)
Canon C300 cinema camera hands-on (video)
Man, is this thing ugly. But when it comes to cinema cameras, looks are the last thing on a cinematographer's mind -- performance is where it counts, and with the Canon C300, its compact size is an asset as well. We haven't had a chance to shoot with Canon's new flagship cinema cam, but we've heard from plenty of folks who have, including director Vincent Laforet. The C300's incredibly compact size allows cinematographers to work in environments that aren't typically accessible to big rigs -- you can shoot with this camera just as easily as you can with a DSLR, hand-holding it for quick shots, with a waist-mounted Steadicam system for walk-around shoots or even mounting it on a small remote-controlled helicopter, as Laforet did during his three-day Mobius shoot. The C300 will be more familiar to cinematographers -- photojournalists may have access to the cam, thanks to its $20000 price tag (that's a relative bargain, believe it or not), but you can't pick this up and fire away without taking some time to learn the interface. It has quite the solid feel, as you'd expect from a camera in this price range, though it's not as heavy as it looks -- you won't want to hold it in your hand for a full day of filming, but quick shots probably won't be an issue. The system is modular, so you can add and remove components as you wish -- industry standard connectors let you hook up cinema gear, which is something you could never do with the 5D Mark II. The small form factor and price ...
